Yesterday we were killed,
Yesterday we fell blindly,
Today we’ll not be the same,
we will not bow to thieving chiefs.
A government that kills its people –
not a greeting, but a curse,
we were too naive for too long
so many chosen have been slain.
This is not a small flame now –
it is not mere anger, it is an eruption;
Smashing, burning, fires spread,
no one left now to remain.
We will kill the leaders –
if they must die,
If we do not kill them,
they will kill us;
Then we will move forward again.
My country, with such thinking , that day turned dark
Singha Durbar, the court – everything burned by fire.
On that day, a country found its verdict:
Some found property,
Some found peace,
Some found martyrs,
The sky found darkness.
The sky found darkness –
it gained many things,
but only by losing them all.
