Chants were raised,
Hashtags were written,
and the crowd assembled –
The rally woke the people,
and leaders fled.
Voices rose and protests formed –
From protest came the change we sought.
Thoughts kindled revolution –
and from revolution, peace spread.
Steps moved us forward –
But the formed reached,
We had to look back.
We became fearless
and took bullets –
We took bullets so
we got martyrs.
